Design
details:
Tuesday 24 April 1984 saw the beginning of a new chapter in the history of
United Kingdom coinage with the introduction into circulation of the
Scottish £1 coin. Designed by renowned silversmith Leslie Durbin, the
reverse appropriately depicts the Scottish thistle encircled by the Royal
Diadem.
