Design details:

The Victoria Cross is the highest award for gallantry that a British and Commonwealth serviceman can achieve. The original version of this design for the 150th Anniversary of the VC was reportedly personally vetoed by Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown as it appeared to show a soldier being shot in the back.

Clive kindly sent me his original sketch which shows the soldier being targeted with a snipers crosshairs, i don't think it should be something that is covered up in my opinion
